Linux Infrastructure Engineer · Production Operations & Automation

About

I am a Linux Infrastructure Engineer focused on production operations, incident response, troubleshooting, and automation.

I work with large-scale Linux/Unix environments where stability, service recovery, patching, monitoring, and clear operational procedures matter more than theory. Most of my work is done at the system level using command-line tools, log analysis, Ansible, Bash, and Python.

Skills

Linux & Systems

  • RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, Solaris, AIX
  • System lifecycle: provisioning, maintenance, patching, decommissioning
  • Production troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis
  • Security hardening, compliance baselines, SSL/TLS operations

Automation & Scripting

  • Ansible, Puppet
  • Bash, Python
  • Patching, provisioning, validation and operational reporting

Operations

  • ITIL: incident, change and problem management
  • Runbooks, pre-checks, post-checks and service recovery procedures
  • Working with distributed teams in production environments

Monitoring & Observability

  • Zabbix, ELK, Grafana, Wazuh
  • Alerting, log analysis, operational visibility
  • Custom checks and noise reduction

Infrastructure

  • Virtualization: VMware, Proxmox, RHEV, Oracle VM
  • Storage exposure: NFS, iSCSI, GPFS, SAN/NAS environments
  • Large-scale enterprise environments: 4000+ servers

Labs & Platform Tools

  • Docker, Kubernetes/K3s
  • Terraform basics
  • AWS/GCP working knowledge
  • Git and Jenkins pipeline exposure

Portfolio Structure

This portfolio is organized around real operational work, infrastructure projects, and lab-based learning. The examples are simplified and sanitized, but they follow real production patterns.

infra-run

Core project focused on Linux operations automation: patching, troubleshooting, service recovery, lifecycle tasks, Ansible workflows, Bash/Python scripts and runbooks.

platform-projects

Larger infrastructure topics such as monitoring with Zabbix, ELK log analysis, virtualization, clustering and storage-related work.

labs

Practical lab area for Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, cloud and networking experiments.

skills → repository

Linux operations map to infra-run, monitoring maps to platform-projects, and Kubernetes/Terraform topics live under labs.

Projects

This repository contains projects based on real production scenarios: Linux operations automation, incident runbooks, monitoring, infrastructure platforms and lab environments.

All examples are sanitized and simplified, but designed to show practical infrastructure engineering decisions.
